World Cup 2010 Venue

The 2010 World Cup will take place at 10 venues across nine South African cities: Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban, Port Elizabeth, Nelspruit, Polokwane, Bloemfontein, Rustenburg and Pretoria. Johannesburg, South Africa’s economic capital, will be home to two World Cup stadiums, Soccer City and Ellis Park..

Rustenburg Royal Bafokeng Stadium - Known as the ‘Platinum City’ with two of the world’s largest platinum mines lie just outside Rustenburg. Also named as a ‘place of rest’ that still manages to retain its small town atmosphere. Is one of the oldest towns in this part of the world.
Bloemfontein Free State Stadium - the City of Roses, with many colourful gardens littered with flowering plants and trees. The city centre is lined with historical buildings, including the beautiful tree-lined President Brand Street - a national monument - its pavements home to several graceful museum buildings.
